About Kala Ghoda Art District

Named for a black equestrian statue (now replaced by a riderless horse), Kala Ghoda is the cultural quarter between Fort and Colaba: Jehangir Art Gallery, the CSMVS museum, the David Sassoon Library, Keneseth Eliyahoo Synagogue, and a dense cluster of design stores and restaurants. Every February the nine-day Kala Ghoda Arts Festival takes over the pavements with installations, music and street theatre.
